Lebron James Jr. Signs With FaZe Clan

LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., son of Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar Lebron James, has joined North American esports and gaming lifestyle company FaZe Clan. The 15-year old highly touted collegiate basketball recruit will use the gaming tag “FaZe Bronny” while streaming for the organization. James is known for his game play in both Fortnight and Call of Duty: Warzone. According to ESPN, James ranks No. 24 on ESPN’s 2023 collegiate basketball rankings sheet. Terms and financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

With over 4.3M followers on TikTok and 300K on Twitch, James is the latest edition of celebrities joining the growing ranks of esports; it was announced last week that Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons joined FaZe Clan as a content creator under the name “FaZe Simmo,” while singer Post Malone acquired a stake in Envy Gaming, the organization behind the Dallas Fuel (Overwatch League) and Dallas Empire (Call of Duty League).

FaZe Clan has a history of working with professional athletes such as Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and Miami Heat player Meyers Leonard having already signed with the organization.

With more than 40 streamers in its ranks, the multi-esport organization fields competitive teams in Call of Duty League, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA, Fortnite, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, Rainbow Six: Siege, and VALORANT.
