Kjaerbye sick, Jumpy set to play remainder of North's ESL One: Road to Rio matches

North will be utilizing their coach as a player the organization has revealed. This decision comes due to Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye being ill. Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson will be stepping up to the plate and will have to do so for the remainder of North’s run, including should they make playoffs or have a tiebreaker series as confirmed by Graham “messioso” Pitt, the Head of Operations at North.

Jumpy is already in the server as North take on Movistar Riders right now in a Group B best-of-three. The two teams will battle it out on Overpass, Vertigo, and if needed Inferno.

North is currently 2-3 in the ESL One: Road to Rio with wins over mousesports and c0ntact and losses to FaZe, GODSENT, and Copenhagen Flames.

G2 is next on the schedule following Movistar Riders and as mentioned previously, Jumpy will be standing in for that match as well.

North’s lineup for the rest of ESL One: Road to Rio:

  • René “cajunb” Borg
  • Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen
  • Philip “aizy” Aistrup
  • Nicklas “gade” Gade
  • Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson
