Nils “k1to” Gruhne is a member of Sprout no longer the organization has revealed. The player has separated with Sprout “with immediate effect,” the official tweet stated.
This is the second player to part ways with the organization in recent weeks as Florian “syrsoN” Rische was revealed to be leaving the organization. Previous reports by DBLTAP stated that both k1to and syrsoN were being targeted by BIG as replacements for Owen “smooya” Butterfield and İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş.
A second report links the Czech AWPer Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný to Sprout as the replacement for syrsoN.
The 21-year-old had been a member of Sprout since May 21 when he joined from Epsilon. He replaced Denis “denis” Howell in the active lineup as denis had made a move to BIG. denis would return in the latter part of the year to replace Sabit “mirbit” Coktasar.
During his time with the team Sprout managed to qualify for ESL Pro League, win ESL Meisterschaft, and place second at both Games Clash Masters and DreamHack Open Atlanta.
There have been no official posts from BIG regarding the rumors of k1to and syrsoN joining the organization.
