Heretics have filled out their roster just a day after Jérémy “jeyN” Nguyen was revealed to be departing. Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom, brother of Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, has been brought on to complete the lineup.
Nivera had previously played alongside Kevin “misutaaa” Rabier, Vitality’s latest pickup. The two played together on Legends in the IEM Katowice open qualifiers.
The 18-year-old had primarily been an AWPer on his previous teams, Bryan “Maka” Canda is expected to continue in that role for Heretics. His brother ScreaM was known for his “one taps” with the rifles and we’ll now get to see if that trait was passed on to Nivera. ScreaM is currently not playing competitively on a team.
With the ESL One Rio Major not yet being canceled, Nivera will be making his debut at a top-level LAN at the Minor from April 26th to May 2nd. Heretics managed to take down Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt’s OG in their opener at the closed qualifier to set up a match against Heroic. Back-to-back 16-13 victories would seal the deal, however, and Heretics had made it to the Minor in Brazil.
