Geek Fam welcome to their ranks Whitemon from EVOS Esports

Geek Fam became an all-Southeast Asian team after they recruited Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon to create an Indonesian duo with Kenny “Xepher” Deo in the support lines.

Whitemoon is replacing Kim “DuBu” Doo, who was released from the team following Geek Fam’s third place finish at the WePlay! Bukovel Minor. Whitemoon made his competitive debut at EVOS Esports, for whom he played nearly a year and a half. Under their banner, he got to play overseas at the 2018 ESL One Hamburg where Evos finished only bottom two. More recently, Whitemmon placed second with EVOS at the ESL Indonesia Championship Season 2 and also on the second place in the WESG Indonesia qualifiers finals, however for the later tournament he played in a National stack.

Geek Fam roster from position 1 to 5:

  • Marc “Raven” Fausto
  • Karl Jayme
  • Carlo “Kuku” Palad
  • Kenny “Xepher” Deo
  • Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon

Geek Fam’s latest roster change leaves the captain role open, as DuBu filled that seat. While Whitemon is a relatively new player to the competitive scene, with not enough experience to take the leader duties as well, we might see Kuku stepping in and lead Geek Fam through the next set of Dota Pro Circuit qualifiers. The regional battle for a spot at the ESL One Los Angeles Major, or the Minor preceding it, are scheduled to begin on the 9th of February.
