Danish educational esports platform GamerzClass raised a $2.5 million USD seed financing round led by a group of angel investors, including Copenhagen-based ByFounders, former Index Ventures general partner Ben Holmes, and GameAnalytics founder Morten Wulf. Further investors that participated in the round include existing investors Bumble Ventures and TrueSight Ventures. Its latest financing round brings GamerzClass’ total investments raised to $4.2 million.
GamerzClass – which has ongoing collaborations with a few esports organizations including Fnatic, Team Liquid, Schalke 04 Esports, and Alliance – produces educational content on League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and FIFA taught by esports professionals and content creators. The company monetizes its content through subscription fees and will use the fresh capital from its seed financing round to scale its team from 15 to 20 and finance content production.
