Esports promotion company Gamers Club announced Thursday a partnership with Epic Games to include its battle royale game Fortnite in its competitions platform. The tournaments will be available for Gamers Club users beginning Sept. 24, in an online structure that will also include game classes, content, and broadcasts. It is predicted that the competitions’ prize pools will add up to $80K USD by the end of 2020.
Gamers Club is owned by Immortals Gaming Club, which does business in Brazil mainly in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene, co-organizing the CLUTCH Circuit with its partner BBL (Bad Boy Leeroy). Game servers and the competitions are available for the whole of Latin America, and since 2019 the company has made efforts to expand its services to different esports titles, such as League of Legends, VALORANT, and Free Fire.
The Esports Observer previously reported that Epic Games was open for partnerships with esports promotion organizations willing to promote their third-party Fortnite competitions.
