First 18 teams revealed for ESL One Cologne

The first 18 teams invited to ESL One Cologne have been revealed. Only six spots remain vacant for the 24 team event following these announcements. The tournament is scheduled to run from August 21st to 30th with July 6th marking the cut off date for the final six spots to be determined via the ESL Pro Tour world ranking. A total prize pool of $1 million will be on the line for those in attendance

As of now, the event is slotted to be run as a studio broadcast tournament meaning there will be no live audience. While ESL is still hopeful it can host the event in front of an audience, the currently global climate given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic makes it difficult to confirm.

The main event currently have eight teams invited with the other eight earning their place via the Play-In tournament.

You can find the current list of invited teams below. The final spots will be divided between Europe and North America with the former getting four more spots and the latter only two.
