Eden Esports Announces $400K CS:GO Event Series

Eden Esports in conjunction with GamingMalta has announced Eden Arena: Malta Vibes, a $400K USD Counter-Strike: Global Offensive series that will take place from June 30 – Sept. 6. The 10-week online series will feature 10 stand-alone tournaments played on a weekly basis with 16 teams from Europe or the CIS participating each week.

Each week will feature a prize pool of $40K with the winners receiving a portion of the pool and a paid invite to train and boot camp in Malta, which can be redeemed at any time of the year.

Thus far participating teams have not been announced.

The format will see a group stage with teams competing to earn a spot in the best-of-three single-elimination playoff bracket.

These events will be run in conjunction with the Maltese government through GamingMalta, an independent non-profit foundation set up by the government of Malta and the Malta Gaming Authority to help promote the island nation’s presence in the esports ecosystem.

The series will be sponsored by GRID, a technology-as-a-service platform, and LOOT.BET.
