Dota 2: EPICENTER's Open Qualifiers Begin March 27th and 28th

The open qualifier dates for the fourth Major have been announced.

Despite the fact that we haven’t even seen the Los Angeles Major yet (which is going to be the third Major of this DPC), we already have important information about the Major that will take place afterward – EPICENTER. Unless something drastically changes, this is going to be the fourth Major of this DPC.

Open Qualifiers

With that said, we now know the dates for the first Open Qualifiers of this event. As you know, each region has its own set of qualifiers, the winners from whom will advance to the Closed Qualifiers.

Having said that, the teams who want to give this Major a shot have to prepare themselves to do it in exactly a month from now. All Open Quals, except those in China, will take place from the 27th to the 28th of March. The coronavirus situation in China is very serious, so we still don’t know what will happen.

Similar to any other qualifier, every single series here until the final is going to be Bo1. The teams who want to sign up have to do it via FACEIT, which is the platform of choice this time.

The EPICENTER Major 2020

Being the penultimate Major of the year, this will be one of the most interesting tournaments to watch yet. It’s very likely that we will see a lot of drama, especially among the teams that will be fighting for their direct TI invites.

The event itself will take place from the 2nd to the 10th of May in Moscow. Similar to any other Major, this one will gather sixteen of the best teams in the world. Apart from fighting for the jaw-dropping amount of $1M USD, the teams will also fight for DPC points.

Expect more information about this tournament in the near future. Until then, be sure to watch the upcoming StarLadder ImbaTV Minor that starts in just a couple of days form now.
