CIS and North America receive two qualifier slots for the SL ImbaTV Dota2 Minor

StarLadder ImbaTV Dota2 Minor will send its champion team to
Los Angeles to fight for a shot at the ESL One Major title as well and two regions
have a better chance at taking it all. CIS and North America got two qualifier slots
for the Minor while the rest of the region will fight with just one team.

StarLadder Imba TV Dota 2 Minor will be played in the Cybersports Arena from Kyiv, Ukraine on the first week of March, from 5th to 8th of the month. A total of eight teams will earn their spot in the tournament via regional qualifiers which are bound to start this coming Friday, the 7th of February with the open brawl.

While the LA Major closed regional qualifiers are set to
unfold February 9-12 for all the regions, except China, the Minor closed qualifiers
will follow right after them, starting on the 13th of February for CIS Europe, NA,
SA, and SEA team and on the 18th of February for the Chinese region. Due to the
ongoing situation with the coronavirus in China, valve decided to push the
dates for the Chinese region for both open and closed qualifiers for both Major
and Minor tournaments. As per all previous qualifiers of this DPC season, the
Major and Minor qualifier campaign is compacted in one event and therefore, the
3rd and 4th placed teams in the Major group stage qualifiers, will get to play
for a spot at the Minor.

SL ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor qualifiers format and schedule

Each regional qualifier will be held in a double-elimination format with Bo3 series, Bo5 grand finals, but for North America and CIS, the lower bracket final will also be Bo5 battle as the winner will get to go the LAN portion of the event, alongside the upper bracket finalists.
