In-game advertising platform Anzu.io announced that it has raised a $9M USD financing round co-led by gaming, esports, and interactive media-focused venture capital firm BITKRAFT Ventures and HBSE Ventures, the investment arm of Dignitas backer Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment. Further investment participants included WPP, Sony Innovation Fund, Alumni Ventures Group, Gaingels, Chicago Cubs, Goal Ventures, SuperAwesome Co-Founder and CEO Dylan Collins, and Riot Games Co-Founder Marc Merrill.

Tel Aviv-based Anzu also plans to expand to the U.S., starting with Los Angeles and New York. Further, Anzu shared that it will position itself strategically in Singapore, China, and other core locations to facilitate networking opportunities with global game developers and local advertisers.
Anzu, which has raised $17M to date, counts game publishers Ubisoft, Lion Castle, and Nacon as well as global brands Pepsico, Samsung, American Eagle, and Vodafone as its current clients.
