In an unfortunate turn of events, Alter Ego has revealed that they will be replacing Ahmad on their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang roster ahead of the upcoming M2 World Championship due to the player testing positive for COVID-19. Yam will be taking the place of Ahmad for the international event.
Alter Ego recently won the ONE Esports MPL Invitational over some international competition including the likes of Philippine’s powerhouse BREN Esports. This will certainly be a blow to the team looking to get repeat victories and earn the title of world champion of MLBB.
12 teams have been split into four groups of three with the group stage kicking off on January 18th and running through January 20th.
Singapore will play host to the M2 World Championship as the best teams from around the world compete for the lion’s share of the $300,000 prize pool.
