Ahjit to stand in for Reality Rift at OMEGA League

Reality Rift started the post TI9 season strong by claiming a ticket to the first Major of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit, however, after a bottom four finish in Leipzig, they struggled to keep the pace with the main competitors in their region.

Fnatic, TNC, Team Adroit and most recently Geek Fam kept the headlines in the online tournaments over the past couple of months and therefore, Reality Rift went for a roster change in order to improve their results.

“We had some great games and worse ones together spent hundreds of hours training, went out for dinner and stayed at team house to play something that’s not Dota. And this was a great time. Thank you for being a part of Reality Rift and sharing your experience with us,” wrote Reality Rift on their Facebook page last week when they announced Andrew “Drew” Halim’s departure from the team.

With him released from the roster about 10 days before the OMEGA League, Reality Rift will play the tournament with Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son standing in the carry position.

Reality Rift roster for OMEGA League:

  • Lai “Ahjit” Jay (stand-in)
  • Vincent “AlaCrity” Hiew Teck Yoong
  • Lee “kYxY” Kong Yang
  • Ravdan “Hustla” Narmandakh
  • Wong “NutZ” Jeng Yih

Ahjit and Reality Rift will kick off their OMEGA League run on the 2nd of August in Group A and will fight in a single Round Robin group stage for a spot in the playoffs.
