Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment’s 76ers Gaming Club has partnered with Nerd Street Gamers to launch the 76ers GC X CHOP 2K Showdown Powered by Nerd Street Gamers. The NBA 2K League team will help facilitate a two-day tournament that will see all proceeds benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The tournament will take place from Sept. 13-14. Registration is open now through Saturday, Sept. 12.
The three-person teams will play games in MyPark mode, a mode in which players use their own created avatars to play online against others. The entry fee is $10 USD per person with teams competing in group play on Sept. 13 with playoffs rounds being completed on Sept. 14. The winning team will receive a grand prize of $1.5K USD.
The 76ers GC X CHOP 2K Showdown Powered by Nerd Street Gamers charity tournament will send all proceeds from the event in support of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Participants will be allowed to direct donations to any specific area of the hospital, such as Child Life services, the Cancer Center, or Cardiac Center. These funds will be used for research and innovative care at CHOP. Participants can amplify their giving by sharing their individualized donation pages with family and friends as well.
